The Dude was aimlessly wandering the backswitches of Ye Olde Informatik Oxtrail, when he stumbled upon a few useless pieces of information- did you know that J. Peterman, the catalog company made famous on Seinfeld for the crazy catalog descriptions, is back in business? Big yawn? Okay, here’s the fun fact part: when they reopened, John O’Hurley (who played the eponymous owner on Seinfeld) helped finance the relaunch, and is now part owner. How’s that for life imitating art imitating life? The Dude can just hear him say “I loved playing the character so much that I bought the company!” It almost makes The Dude want one of those leather mailbags to use as a Indiana Jones style laptop bag. Hmmmm… actually, that might be kind of cool. 100 Quatloos to the first person to correctly identify the origin (title and artist) of the song lyrics quoted on the title line without looking it up (ie. cheating). P.S. The rumor is true. The Dude hasn’t watched Dancing with the Stars since the first season when Mr. O’Hurley was robbed of his well deserved victory. Spiteful? Yes. The Dude takes competitions like that seriously. 😉
