Atilla and the AKO are quietly sleeping, Deogee is watching squirrels frolic in the freshly mowed grass, and The Dude is finally able to spend a little time here with his loyal readers.
First off, we here at Casa del The Dude are very excited about the preview for the newest version of Apple’s OS X, Leopard. Time Machine appears to be an Apple HFS+ implementation of FreeBSD’s USF2 snapshot capability, with Apple’s usual panache for user interface design. For those who just tuned out due to the technobabble, look at the link, you’ll get the idea. There are other interesting features, to be sure, but Time Machine appears to have the most potential impact on day to day usage. You can be sure that The Dude will be making the pilgrimage to his local Apple Store to pick up a copy once it’s released.
