An election. Pretty cool invention– allowing for the peaceful transferral of power between competing political philosophies within a single locale. Of course, there is an assumption here that the involved political philosophies see value in a peaceful transferral of power– if they don’t, if they are spoiling for a fight, or have decided that they don’t want to share power with others, then that’s a problem.nThe United States of America has had a pretty solid run of 244 years of democracy, and that is nothing to sneeze at. Hopefully we’ll see another 244.
